Resolution Authorizing Sale of SURPLUS Personal Property
by Electronic Auction
R-05-2023
WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statute 160A-270(b) and (c) allows for the Wendell Town Board of Commissioners to sell personal property by electronic auction upon adoption of a resolution authorizing the appropriate official to dispose of the property and;
WHEREAS, the below listing of personal property owned by the Town of Wendell is no longer necessary for the conduct of public business, the item or group of items has a fair market value less than $30,000 and are hereby declared as surplus and to be sold by electronic auction:

WHEREAS, public notice will be posted electronically on the Town of Wendell website at www.TownofWendell.com and electronic bids will be posted at www.GovDeals.com,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Wendell Town Board of Commissioners that the Town Manager or designee is authorized to sell by electronic auction on Monday, February 13, 2023 the surplus property described above, through electronic advertisement at www.Townofwendell.com and electronic bids may be posted at www.GovDeals.com per the terms described in 160A-270. The Town Manager or designee is directed to publish at least once and not less than ten days before the date of the auction, a copy of this resolution or a notice summarizing its content as required by North Carolina General Statute 160A-270(c).
