Wendell is celebrating its 40th year as a Tree City USA Town!
This Arbor Day, celebrate with us on March 18th, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Wendell Park’s pecan grove. We’ve got a great Arbor Day event planned, including the planting of 40 trees to commemorate each year Wendell has earned the recognition of a Tree City USA Town!
Come out and enjoy food trucks, tree games with the kids, and informational sessions about the importance of trees, the history of Arbor Day, and more! After the program, grab a shovel, and let’s plant some trees for future generations to enjoy at the park!
Lace up your hiking shoes and join Wendell’s Stormwater Department in an educational Creek Week Walk & Talk to celebrate Creek Week at Wendell Park!
The meetup location is Wendell Park’s Pecan Grove, located off Landing View Drive, and will meet at 12 p.m., right after the Arbor Day Celebration that starts at 10 a.m.!
Make a day of being outdoors, celebrate the #YearoftheTrail, and explore nature on Saturday, March 18th!
Learn about how what goes in the storm drainage system affects local ecosystems and why it's important to keep our waterways clean and safe for the environment!
Wendell’s Creek Week is held to celebrate Clean Water Education Partnership’s Regional Creek Week, March 18th-25th. A variety of events will take place this week across the region, so be sure to check them out!
