The mission of the Wendell Police Department is to deliver the highest quality law enforcement services by establishing and maintaining partnerships so as to ensure a high quality of life for all persons that are a part of our community.

The police department operates under a philosophy of community oriented policing.  In order for community policing to be effective, we must have input from the community. We are always open and receptive to your ideas about how problems should be solved.   A community such as ours that works together can be successful in keeping crime rates low and maintaining a high quality of life for all to enjoy.

The Wendell Police Department offers a number of crime prevention services that may be of interest to the citizens and businesses of our community you. Our officers are also available to talk to community/civic groups.

If you have a police emergency, you should always dial 911. If you have a non-emergency situation, you may contact our Administrative offices by telephone at 919-365-4444. The Administrative Offices are open Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm with the exception of holidays when other town offices are closed.
