Two electric vehicle charging stations have been installed on E Campen Street, which are provided free of charge to those traveling in the area.

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations are available on a first come, first served basis. Users should use the JuicePass App to view locations and availability. The EV Charging Stations are not intended to supply power to vehicles used as residences and are to be used for a maximum of 2 hours at a time.

Food Trucks using the stations in lieu of a generator must be approved through the Town of Wendell’s Food Truck Policy.

Parking spots labeled for Electric Vehicle Charging Station use are only for electric vehicles that are actively charging. Violators are subject to applicable tickets and fines.

Does the Town of Wendell have charging stations?

Yes! There are charging stations located on Campen Row in Downtown Wendell.

How do I use the charger for my electric car?
The charging stations are JUICEBOX Pro 40, and has a NEMA 14-50 plug. There are currently 2 charging stations, with 2 plugs each, meaning up to 4 vehicles can charge at one time.
When can I use it?
Please refer to the JuicePass App for locations and availability. The Charging Stations will not be available during downtown special events, or when food trucks are approved to use the stations:

Thursdays, 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Fridays, 12:00 pm – 12:00 am
Saturdays, 12:00 pm – 12:00 am
Sundays, 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Mondays, 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm
How long can I use it?
The EV Charging Stations are not intended to supply power to vehicles used as residences and are to be used for a maximum of 2 hours at a time.
Does it cost anything?
There is no cost to use the EV Charging Stations at this time.
Why is the food truck blocking the charger?
Approved food trucks will use the EV Charging Stations for electricity at the following times:

Thursdays, 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Fridays, 12:00 pm – 12:00 am
Saturdays, 12:00 pm – 12:00 am
Sundays, 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Mondays, 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Food trucks are approved as part of the Town of Wendell's Food Truck Policy.
Why is the electric car at the charger and I can't use it for my food truck?
Parking spaces in front of the charging station will be reserved when approved for food truck use. Food trucks may not connect to the EV Charging Stations without approval through the Town of Wendell's Food Truck Policy.

Why is the area blocked off for a special event and I can't charge my car?
Events are held in downtown Wendell several times a year. The EV Charging Stations will not be available during these events. Please refer to the Town's event calendar for a schedule of Town-hosted or sponsored events.

Can I hook up my RV and live there a while?
