In 2011, Wendell Park will serve as the home course for the East Wake High School Warriors cross country team, as well as the site of several other local cross country team meets that include East Wake Academy Middle School, East Wake Academy High School, St. David’s and Corinth Holders High School. The 2^nd Annual Wendell Park Early Bird Invitational will take place on Saturday, August 27, 2011. This cross country meet brought in 17 high schools from Eastern N.C. in 2010 and should once again be a very successful event! The Wendell Cross Country Course will once again be the site of the Greater Neuse River Conference Championship on October 18, 2011.
