Capital Improvments Campaign

The Wendell Parks & Recreation has kicked off the 2008 year by announcing that we will be partnering with the Doug Proctor Memorial Foundation in an effort to upgrade the facilities at Wendell Park. The Capital Improvement Campaign will include lights on both the Doug Proctor Field and the Wendell Park Large Field, new fencing on the Doug Proctor Field, new dugouts and scorers stands on both fields as well as some improvements to the playing surfaces on each field.
Our goal is to reach $300,000. We are asking our recreation family and friends to consider a pledge to the Capital Improvement Campaign. You can complete the form below, print a pledge card and return it to the Wendell Parks and Recreation Department or give us a call at 366-2266.

Updates:

1-28-2009- The Capital Improvement Campaign is making huge strides as we are now up to $26,068.15!!! On October 2, 2008 we were truly blessed to receive several generous donations. The Doug Proctor Family donated $10,000.00. We thank all the donors that night and we continue to thank all of our friends who continue to support our efforts.

9-30-08- The Capital Improvement Campaign has reached $10,379.15! We are looking forward to a big night on October 2, 2008 at the Wendell Community Center. The Craig Woolard Band will be performing for our official kick-off of the campaign and the Doug Proctor Memorial Golf Tournament! We will see you there.

6-6-08- Thank you to the many of you have been so generous and have helped the Capital Improvement Campaign get off to a wonderful start. As of June 6, 2008, we have already collected a total of $8740.27 from generous donations, our barbecue & chicken plate sale and through the Chevy Tahoe ticket sales program ($3200 collected and 626 tickets sold). We greatly appreciate your desire to help with our efforts to bring the best facilities to eastern Wake County. The Staff of Wendell Parks and Recreation
