Hugh T Moody

On January 16, 2009 the Boy Scouts of Troop 515 came out with over 30 volunteers to Hugh T. Moody Nature Trail to assist Wendell Parks and Recreation with improvements to the trail. A new informational kiosk, 102 trail markers and 4 trail signs were constructed by the Boy Scouts, Troop Leaders and parents. Over the course of several weeks of working through temperatures at or below freezing, members of Troop 515 dedicated their weekends to completing the trail improvements. The Town of Wendell is fortunate to have such fine young men who are dedicated to our community. We thank you for the service you have provided for many years and we hope to continue working together to keep the Hugh T. Moody Nature Trail an enjoyable outdoor recreational opportunity for many more years to come. -Wendell Parks and Recreation

The Scouts from Troop 515 performed renovations to a bridge on the Hugh T. Moody Nature Trail in the Spring of 2007. During this service project the scouts added mulch to the trail to really enhance the image and allow for a better walking surface.
