Job Training Resources

Wendell’s proximity to Research Triangle Park and the state’s two largest university systems provides prospective and existing employers with a wide range of job training and educational resources to support business relocation or expansion. The town’s convenient location on US Highway 64 also allows local employees who are seeking to improve their skill sets or levels convenient access to job training and educational resources as well, and reduces time away from the job to pursue training or education.

The North Carolina Department of Commerce offers a variety of workforce development services, and the North Carolina Employment Security Commission  also provides valuable assistance to employers seeking specific employee skills. The Department of Commerce also operates a number of Job Link Career Centers throughout the Triangle region, which provide both employers and prospective employees a diversity of counseling, training, and placement services.
