Wendell Transportation Update – Public Notice

Wendell Transportation Update

The public will take notice that the Town of Wendell is in the process of updating its Transportation Plan.  The Transportation plan covers potential improvements to the road network within the Towns' corporate limits, ETJ (zoning jurisdiction) and the town's ultimate Urban Service Area as defined by Wake County.  The town hosted an information session on the proposed updates to the Town’s transportation plan at the Wendell Community Center (601 W. Third Street) on June 29th from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.  The Planning Board has also reviewed the proposed changes at multiple meetings and on July 20, 2015 they voted to send the proposed amendments to the Town Board for review or for further direction.

The public hearing for these changes has been scheduled for September 14th at 7:00 P.M. at the Wendell Town Hall (15 E. Fourth Street).
