Free Tree Care Seminar - February 20th, 1pm-3pm @ Wendell Park
The Wendell Tree Board members will be hosting a series of tree care seminars beginning in February. The goal of these seminars is to provide public education on several important tree related issues. The seminars are open to all Wendell citizens at no charge.
The first seminar is one that I feel will be of great use because it deals with a very popular tree here in Wendell. The Crape Myrtle. So many times you will see this tree pruned a variety of ways and you see them pruned at many different times of the year. Tree Board Chairman Warren Boyette will be discussing the proper time to prune these plants, which he said in NC is in mid February. He will also demonstrate proper pruning techniques as well.
When: February 20, 2014
Where: Wendell Park
What to Bring: Work Gloves, Tree Pruning Shears, Eye Protection and Dress to Be Outdoors
Please RSVP by February 13, 2014 firstname.lastname@example.org or 919-366-2266
This will be a hands on seminar where you can actively participate with the Wendell Tree Board and assist with pruning trees within Wendell Park. It is not required of course, but it will allow you to learn firsthand tree pruning techniques if you choose to.
Please view the attached flyer for more information of the Tree Care Seminars. Thank you and I look forward to seeing you on February 20, 2014!
