PUBLIC NOTICE

In accordance with NC GS 143-129, the Town of Wendell is accepting proposals from qualified banking institutions interested in providing a bank loan for the purchase of the following vehicles and equipment: one leaf truck, five police cars, one bucket truck, and two pickup trucks. Proposals must be received by 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, and will be opened immediately thereafter at Town Hall. Please obtain and complete a banking proposal packet by contacting:

PUBLIC HEARING

The public shall take notice that the Wendell Town Board of Commissioners will have a public hearing on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 7 p.m. in the Board Room at 15 E Fourth Street concerning a bank loan for the following vehicles and equipment: one leaf truck, five police cars, one bucket truck, and two pickup trucks. The Wendell Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. This is an open meeting.

 PUBLIC NOTICES

The public will take notice that the Wendell Board of Commissioners has scheduled three public hearings on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Wendell Town Hall, 15 East Fourth Street, for the following purposes:

  • To consider a zoning map amendment request by Lucius Jones to rezone 12.75 acres of land (excluding ROW) located at 501 W. Academy Street (PIN # 1784319395) from R3 to R4. The Wendell Board of Commissioners reserves the right to change the existing zoning classification of the area in question or any part or parts thereof to a more restrictive general zoning classification without the necessity of withdrawal or modification of the petition. 
  • To hold an Evidentiary Hearing on a Special Use request by Withers and Ravenel related to building expansions and site improvements at 6300 Kioti Drive (PIN # 1775305843)
  • To consider adoption of a Town of Wendell Comprehensive Pedestrian Plan.

Interested parties and citizens shall have opportunity to speak and may obtain additional information on the request from the Town of Wendell Zoning Administrator, 15 E. Fourth Street, Wendell, North Carolina 27591.
