Pursuant to NC GS 160A-31, the public will take notice that the Wendell Board of Commissioners has scheduled public hearings on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 7:00 PM in the Wendell Town Hall, 15 East Fourth St for the purpose of considering annexation petition requests for the following described territory:

  • Four contiguous parcels located at 0 Wendell Falls Parkway. Parcel 1 is 17.58 acres, PIN 1783-38-8411; Parcel 2 is .69 acres, PIN 1783-38-1700; Parcel 3 is .55 acres, PIN 1783-38-5088; and Parcel 4 is 0.12 acres, PIN 1783-38-9601. Descriptions of the parcels are available in Deed Book 17014, page number 502 and Deed Book 17014, page number 515 as recorded at the Wake County Register of Deeds Office. Approved 10/8/2018
  • Four contiguous parcels located at South Hollybrook Road and adjacent to Grove of Deerfield Subdivision and identified by PIN Numbers 1783921299 [48.38 ac], 1793020954 [6.84 ac], 1783837560 [.47 ac], and 1783947008 (partial) [60.05]. Property descriptions are available at the Wake County Register of Deeds Office in DB 12538, Pg 162, DB 13847, Pg 1368, and DB 17037, Pg 123.  Continued to the TUESDAY, November 13, 2018 meeting.

In accordance with NC GS 15-12, the Wendell Police Department has unclaimed property. Any persons who may have interest in the unclaimed property may contact the Wendell Police Department at 919-365-4444, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Any property not claimed by Monday, August 13, 2018, will be sold by electronic auction and any proceeds donated to the Wake County School System. Anyone making a claim must satisfy proof of ownership. The following is a list of items that may be claimed: 24 Bicycles, 1 Moped, 1 Motor Scooter, and 2 Push Mowers.
